Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman and wished I were as beautiful. When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle. She had one leg and wore a crutch. But as she passed, she passed a smile. Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two legs; the world is mine.
I stopped to buy some candy. The lad who sold it had such charm. I talked with him, he seemed so glad. If I were late, it'd do no harm. And as I left, he said to me, "I thank you, you've been so kind. It's nice to talk with folks like you. You see," he said, "I'm blind." Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes; the world is mine.
Later while walking down the street, I saw a child I knew. He stood and watched the others play, but he did not know what to do. I stopped a moment and then I said, "Why don't you join them dear?" He looked ahead without a word. I forgot, he couldn't hear. Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two ears; the world is mine.
With feet to take me where I'd go. With eyes to see the sunset's glow. With ears to hear what I'd know. Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.
If this poem makes you feel thankful, just forward it to your friends. After all, it's just a simple reminder that we have so much to be thankful for!

Good to see you all again
It has been many years (44 years) since I spoke with some of my old school mates, it was good to speak with them and to see them again. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the generosity and the hospitality extended to me and my wife during our visit to Penang, K.L. Singapore and Sabah to the following individuals: Yeoh Kar Hock Gan Chin Kheat Lim Kew Wan Mah Seng Chow Gee Teck Song Chan Chow Lean Sim Jin Tang Chuah Yau Cheng Wong Hon Peng Heong Kam Hor Chin Chew Meng....... Forgive me if I forgot anyone else. Our friendship was able to withstand the test of time, we were able to pick up where we left off, and spent time catching up with our lives. I am very happy to learn that all of you have done very well, you have successful families and business/ careers. Funny how life turned out, how many of us imagined what our lives would be like back in 1968? Certainly not me, but I am thankful the way it has worked out for me. I am grateful for the good fortune to be your friends and the opportunity to meet you again after all these years, let's hope that it will not be too long before we meet again. Thank you again for the dinners and lunches and the time we spent together. Let's stay in touch through emails and Facebook and please come and visit us in Vancouver. Forever your friend, Lee Kiat Kiew
